When things seem to be in crisis…

In your life you have daily thoughts, actions that need to be rooted out. It will consume you if you’re not on guard, I had such a day last week. It started off innocently and quickly accelerated to consummation. I did not let the Word of God soak into my thoughts…they were there but I didn’t fully give my attention to the words I should of been speaking and believing. I know the devil goes about seeking whom he can devour, 1 Pet 5:8. I also know I should of resisted, rebuked the thoughts that came, James 4:7. I didn’t….It carried to the following morning. As I was preparing lunch for the day, fussing, becoming angry, fearful & just feeling totally helpless, These words came to me, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”, Mk 10:47. The scripture(s) comes from the story of Bartimaeus, the blind man & Jesus, Mk 10:46-52 & Lk 18:35-43.

And when Jesus heard him shouting, he commanded Bartimaeus to be brought to him. When he came-Jesus asked-“What will you have me to do for you?” Bartimaeus says to receive his sight. Here’s what happens-In Marks account…And Jesus said unto him, “Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole”. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. From Lukes’ account-And Jesus said unto him, “Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.” And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

I’d like to make a comment on the the word WHOLE from Marks account, in Lukes says “SAVED”. In Greek language these words mean–sōzō , sode’-zo to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): – heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole. to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): – heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole, (Strongs).

And immediately I received my healing. I was relieved from my anxiety and my mind made whole-things were once again put back into perspective. I gave praise & thanks to Jesus and God and said a thank you for those shouting words from Bartimaeus “Jesus, Son of David have mercy on me.” When we become swallowed up and life is overwhelmed, Perhaps these words will help you. Your vision is restored to God, his thoughts and his words will rise up! And I found this scripture recently—Is not my Word like a fire says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock into pieces (Jer 23:29)….Yes, He sent his words to me and it did just that! Hallelujah!
